A Ghost in Blue is a player, coach, manager, trainer or cheerleader who has been part of the glorious history of the Danville Admirals. The poem was written about Admiral football because the writer is a former player as is his son. However, over time it has become apparent that Admirals from all sports consider themselves Ghosts in Blue. So a short answer would be, a Ghost in Blue is anyone who has worn Admirals across their chest and is a proud supporter of the Admirals and those yet to come.
